Cacao Ceremonies

Over the past few years, I have been facilitating cacao ceremonies of all different shapes and sizes.

Cacao is a medicine that has been used for thousands of years in various tribes and traditions in the Americas and Africa.

I begin with the foundation of this ancient medicine and the wisdom of these ancient traditions, and from them I create an original ceremony that encourages connecting to the wisdom of the body through dancing, playfulness, and gathering together.

Sacred Cacao

Cacao beans contain serotonin, dopamine, and tryptophan. These substances help develop a sense of well-being, love, mental resilience, emotional release, joy, and peace of mind. When we drink cacao in a quantity and space that is intended for ceremony, we are able to feel fully present within the experience, shed the influences of the outside world, and connect to a sense of oneness and unity.

Medicinal cacao helps us to open the heart, connect to the body, and ground. She connects us with ourselves and the earth. Just as the color and texture of the cacao remind us of the earth, the medicine brings forward the wisdom of the earth – she is maternal and connects us to the pulse within us.

The Ceremony Space

In the sacred space of ceremony, we are able to deeply observe our patterns. It is as if we are in a laboratory, using a magnifying glass to explore what is happening within us, surrounded by a supportive group that joins us on the journey.

These ceremonies are shamanic spaces where we are given permission to learn more about ourselves and about life, a capsule of time where the door opens to everything that exists in the here and now, inside our bodies and in the shared space.

Cacao ceremonies are an opportunity for our inner children to come out and play in a safe space.

I create the freedom to simply express everything that comes from within us in the moment. It is an experience that creates a renewed relationship with the mind and organically spreads throughout the body.

Come and join us

During the ceremony we learn how to use our mind as a tool that serves us in our lives.
We shed layers so that we can become open to meeting ourselves and others in a way that is authentic, intimate, and playful.

The cacao ceremony is an opportunity for self inquiry, play, mystery, sanctity, and movement that allows us to meet the delicate and soft pieces of ourselves. The pieces from which we truly shine.

The ceremonies are held once a month and in accordance with Corona guidelines.
